Presiding Chair & Moderator - Mayor Town of Inuvik His Worship Derek Lindsay

Born in Dundee, Scotland immigrated to Canada in 1966, Graduated from Penticton Secondary School in 1971. Articled with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. Chartered Accountants before moving north to Inuvik 1981. Employed as an accountant for numerous years before opening his own business. In the past 26 years volunteering took up a major part of his time as Treasurer for Ingamo Hall Friendship Centre, Treasurer then Chair for Inuvik Alcohol Committee ( Delta House/ Turning Point), Treasurer and then Chair of Western Arctic Business Development and Zone Commander for Civil Air Search & Rescue Association, he was also Treasurer then Manager for the Royal Canadian Legion, Inuvik before becoming Mayor of Inuvik in October 2006 after serving on Inuvik Town Council as Councilor since 1996.
