Presiding Chair & Moderator - Her Worship Mary Sjostrom

Quesnel Mayor Mary Sjostrom is an enthusiastic community booster, a politician who revels in embracing challenges while remaining positive and upbeat throughout even the most difficult circumstances. Her love for her community has ensured that she cares about her work, her colleagues and the people she represents. She always listens to what the residents of Quesnel are saying, and does her utmost to ensure that everyone's needs are considered throughout any decision-making process. Mary served three terms on Quesnel City Council prior to becoming Mayor in December. As Past President of the North Central Municipal Association and Director at Large on the Union of British Columbia Municipalities, Mary has been involved in the Measuring up the North project since its inception. She currently serves as the steering committee chair.
