Professor Abdus Salam, the first Muslim scientist who won a Nobel Prize, shared the 1979 Nobel Prize for physics with two American scientists, Sheldon Glashow and Steven Weinberg for their independent development of a theory unifying the electromagnetic and the weak nuclear forces.
The Abdus Salam Science fair is open to all Ahmadi students of grade 5 to grade 12. The fair provides a unique opportunity to the budding Ahmadi scientists and science enthusiasts to prove that we are keeping the Islamic tradition of learning and science alive and are striving to produce many Abdus Salams in the future.
The fair is also a means to pay homage to Dr. Abdus Salam who proved that Islam and Science can not only co-exist but also compliment each other.
In Toronto (GTA) Dr. Abdus Salam Science Fair will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018, 9 AM to 4 PM, at Tahir Hall, 10610 Jane Street, Maple, ON, L6A 3A2.
